Partition Schemes
A Partition scheme maps the partitions produced by a partition function to a set of filegroups that you define. A partition scheme can use only one partition function. However, a partition function can participate in more than one partition scheme.
Partition Scheme Editor allows you to define partition scheme properties. It opens automatically when you create a new partition scheme and is available on editing an existing one.
To open a partition scheme in Partition Scheme Editor, double-click it in the DB Explorer tree.
