Selecting operation


On the first step of the wizard you need to select the operation that you want to perform by means of this wizard.

!RadioButton Save configuration

Save current server configuration parameters to the SQL Administrator Repository. The saved configuration includes the following: server information, server properties, server configuration options, database options, database files and filegroups, server and database principals, server and database object permissions.

 

!RadioButton Compare configurations

Select this item if you want to compare current servers configurations or saved ones. You can compare configurations of a single server or of two different servers. After comparison you can update a server on the basis of another configuration. Update is allowed only if you select current server configuration as one of configurations for comparing.

 

!RadioButton Delete saved configurations

Select this item if you want to delete configurations are no longer needed.
