Online Documentation for SQL Administrator for SQL Server
Setting permissions on role
This section allows you to grant permissions for another users and roles on the role being edited.
This section is available only when editing an existing role.
Use the navigation bar to select a Principal type so that only principals of the selected type are displayed in the grid.
The Principal Name column contains the list of users, database roles or application roles according to the selection in the Principal type combo-box.
Each subsequent column corresponds to the permission which can be granted on the role being edited:
- Alter
- Control
- Impersonate
- View definition
To learn more about setting permissions on a database role see the Database Permissions topic.
