Setting additional options


This step of the wizard allows you to set additional options for the database backup operation (for User-managed script strategy).

 

Backup Database - User-managed script - Setting additional options

 

Backup logname

Set a name for the log file and type in or use the Save as... btnSaveAs button to specify the path to this file on your local machine or on a machine in the LAN.

 

CheckBox Backup controlfile

This option specifies whether the controlfile should be included into backup.

 

CheckBox Recreate PFILE if need

If this option is selected, the appropriate command which recreates the PFILE from existing SPFILE is added to the backup script.

 

CheckBox Recreate temporary data files

Specify whether the Oracle temporary datafiles should be recreated.

 

OS specific options

Specify the OS to use commands for in the generated script:

RadioButton Unix

RadioButton Windows

RadioButton Manually (specify the copy command in the corresponding box)

 

Click the Next button to proceed to the Scheduling backup scripts step of the wizard.
