Getting Started

SQL Administrator provides you with a toolset for SQL Server administration with most efficient way. When the program is launched for the first time the Start Page is opened.

This is how SQL Administrator application looks when you start it.

Getting started

• Register a server that will be used as the program repository for collected statistics.
• Set repository database.
• Register servers to administrate using SQL Administrator and set alarm summary and statistics collection options.
• Install and launch statistics collector service.
• Tune the program options.

Tools

• Run the Server Explorer which provides the main set of SQL Administrator tools.
• View Alarm Summary. It provides information about possible failures on registered servers and allows fixing them promptly.
• Launch the Statistics Collector State dialog allowing you to install/uninstall statistics collector service.

• Tune the program options.
