Register server/Registration properties

Before working with a server in SQL Administrator you need to register it. This is done by means of the Register Server dialog. To open this dialog:

• select the Server | Register Server main menu item
• use the Register Database toolbar button
• right-click within the Server Explorer and select the Register Server... context menu item.

To edit properties of the already registered server right-click its alias and select the <server_name> Registration Properties context menu item.

The list of Register Server dialog tabs is displayed on the navigation bar:

• Configuring general connection settings
• WMI Connection
• Managing alarms
• Setting statistics collection parameters
